THE EALAN NETWORK ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Comparison and harmonisation of BSc; PhD and MSc Curricula;
- MoU’s have been formulated among some partner institutions to facilitate teacher & student exchange, joint research activities etc.;
- Launched “Journal of Land Administration in Eastern Africa” – ISSN 1821-7575;
- Jointly writing a reference book entitled “A Compendium on Land Administration Practices in Eastern Africa”;
- Ratification of approved EALAN Constitution ongoing;
- Received NICHE support to develop Strategic Plan under project for strengthening EALAN to “Improve Land Governance in the Great Lakes Region” (SEALAN).
- Annual meetings since inception in 2009.
- Overwhelming support to Bahir Dar University in application to set up a Center of Excellence in Land Administration under World Bank Project ACE II;
- Admission as a Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) Partner on 24/09/15;
- Attendance of 6th GLTN Partners meeting at UNON between 03/11/15 and 05/11/15.
