THE EALAN NETWORK ACHIEVEMENTS:

  1. Comparison and harmonisation of BSc; PhD and MSc Curricula;
  2. MoU’s have been formulated among some partner institutions to facilitate teacher & student exchange, joint research activities etc.;
  3. Launched “Journal of Land Administration in Eastern Africa” – ISSN 1821-7575;
  4. Jointly writing a reference book entitled “A Compendium on Land Administration Practices in Eastern Africa”;
  5. Ratification of approved EALAN Constitution ongoing;
  6. Received NICHE support to develop Strategic Plan under project for strengthening  EALAN to “Improve Land Governance in the Great Lakes Region” (SEALAN).
  7. Annual meetings since inception in 2009.
  8. Overwhelming support to Bahir Dar University in application to set up a Center of Excellence in Land Administration under World Bank Project ACE II;
  9. Admission as a Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) Partner on 24/09/15;
  10. Attendance of 6th GLTN Partners meeting at UNON between 03/11/15 and 05/11/15.
